There is something special about a community event that brings people together—and even better when our four-legged friends get to join in too!
This Friday, September 18, Historic Downtown Lake Wales will be filled with wagging tails, happy families and plenty of excitement during Bark on Park.
The event takes place from 6–8 PM at Market Plaza on Park Avenue and offers a fun evening for local families, dog lovers and anyone looking for something different to do in the community.
Dachshund Races Take Center Stage
One of the most anticipated parts of Bark on Park will be the Dachshund Races.
These races are short, fast and, sometimes, wonderfully unpredictable. Dachshunds may be known for their determination, but when they’re placed on a race track, anything can happen!
The event will feature trophies and prizes for the first three placements in all of the races.

Bark on Park has plenty happening beyond the races.

The event is designed to be a community gathering where people can spend an evening outdoors, connect with others and enjoy the personalities of their pets.
And admission is FREE.
A Special Guest from Boss Hog Radio
This year’s Bark on Park will also welcome Radio DJ Charlie Brown and his hound dog from Boss Hog Radio.
Having local personalities and businesses participate is part of what makes community events like this so enjoyable. You never quite know who you’ll meet—or what memorable moment you’ll take home with you.
A Celebration of Community
At The Circus Arts Place, we love seeing the communities around us come together for events that create experiences families can share.
